ARX6502 - Single Board Computer based on a MOS 6502 [Hobby Project]
- Used EDA Software to design a schematic and lay out a PCB, had it manufactured, then populated and tested it
- Wrote ASM code, assembled with CA65 assembler, flashed binaries into ROM, and tested it on the board
- Successfully ran this code to gather input states and output them onto a character LCD
- Lots of documentation reading :)
AVR Tetris - Tetris on an AVR Microprocessor (based on an ATMEGA32) [Course Lab Project]
- Used C and the MPLAB X IDE to create a fully working Tetris game from scratch
- Peripherals were a Nintendo NES Controller and a 128x64 Dot-Matrix LCD
- Wrote own drivers for both the NES controller and the LCD
ARX65 - Software Emulator for the MOS 6502 [Hobby Project]
- Wrote an emulator in C++ to run 6502 machine code and an emulated terminal
- Got output from and could send input to Microchess, a 6502 program written by Peter Jennings
- Achieved an equivalent clock frequency above 100MHz, well over the 2-4MHz needed for the 6502
- Learned more than I ever wanted to know about GNU Makefiles
